These terms cover your use of LegacyDoc, an AI-powered tool that generates documentation from source code. By uploading code, connecting GitHub, or otherwise using LegacyDoc, you agree to them.

1. What LegacyDoc does

LegacyDoc accepts code you upload or select from a connected GitHub repository, sends it to Claude (Anthropic's AI model) to generate documentation, and returns that documentation to you. See our Privacy Policy for how your code and data are handled.

2. Your content

You retain full ownership of any code you submit. By using LegacyDoc, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to process that code solely to generate your documentation — nothing more. We make no claim of ownership over your code or the documentation generated from it.

You're responsible for having the right to submit whatever code you upload or connect via GitHub. Don't submit code you don't have permission to share, even with an AI processor.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use LegacyDoc to:

Submit malicious code, malware, or content intended to exploit, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to LegacyDoc or any other system.
Attempt to bypass rate limits, scrape the service, or place excessive automated load on it.
Submit code or content you don't have the legal right to share.
Use the GitHub integration to access repositories you're not authorized to access.

We may suspend or block access for use that violates these terms.

4. AI-generated documentation

Documentation is generated by an AI model and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or miss important context about your code. Review it before publishing, sharing, or relying on it — especially for security-sensitive or business-critical code.

LegacyDoc doesn't guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of any generated documentation for a particular purpose.

5. GitHub integration

Connecting GitHub is optional. It requests read-only access to your repositories so LegacyDoc can pull the code you choose to document. You can disconnect at any time; doing so revokes LegacyDoc's access.

6. Service availability

LegacyDoc is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without uptime guarantees. Features, limits, and pricing may change as the product develops.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LegacyDoc and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on AI-generated documentation.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.

9. Governing law
